Reach Magazine TV host Sherrie Marlene had the opportunity to have lunch with Brian Courtney Wilson in Marina Del Rey, CA at the Del Rey Cafe. Overlooking the marina and over lunch, the two talked about family, music, God and careers. Check out the live performance below by Brian Courtney Wilson with his single ”Just Love”.
Reach Magazine TV co-hosts J.O. and Sherrie Marlene spent a day at the San Diego Zoo interacting with animals, learning about the conservation of animals and their habitats, and overall having a blast with San Diego Zoo Ambassador Rick Schwartz.
Rick introduced our hosts to some special residents of the Zoo, including Kala the Meerkat, Isa the Fossa, and Shaman the Great Horned Owl.
Our hosts were edutained on Zoo animal facts such as apes do not have tails and monkeys do, and on interesting facts about the San Diego Zoo, such as the Zoo was founded in 1916 and is a non-profit organization.
“Amongst the many unbelievable facts I learned at the San Diego Zoo, the one that is most imprinted on my heart is the fact that owls have hollow bones. These beautiful creatures give off the perception of being threatening with their fierce talons, but in reality, they are actually quite delicate animals,” says Sherrie Marlene.
“God created all living creatures to be unique and equip with the necessities to fulfill their own individual purpose. Take the time to really look at the beauty of nature around you; you may be surprised at what you see.”
The mission of the San Diego Zoo is conservation, and to save endangered species and their habitats. Learn how you can help here.

It may be easier to order in pizza, but really what are the benefits of ordering a greasy, cheesy pie? Very few, if any. Reach Magazine TV along with Metabella Pilates in Studio City, CA, brings you a healthier alternative to take out: alkaline food, among many other healthy cooking classes that Metabella offers.
Our host James “J” Love had the opportunity to work with alkaline chef Andrea Rozsas AKA “The Alkaline Chef”. The benefits of an alkaline diet are endless. The benefits of eating an alkaline diet can eliminate serious health challenges in a remarkably brief period of time. Plus it can replenish your energy, relieve anxiety and headaches. Alkaline diets emphasize fresh fruit, vegetables, roots and tubers, nuts, and legumes.
“I chose to become a professional alkaline chef after I experienced my very own health miracle. I have been teaching and cooking for people for several years now and I have seen numerous miracles in friends and clients,” says Chef Rozsas.
Don’t get us wrong, pizza is delicious but balanced meals like the recipe for Chicken Paprika below, will transform you from the inside out.
“Eating healthy sometimes translates into eating cardboard, but alkaline food tastes delicious,” J-Love said after tasting the Paprikas, “The alkaline food was surprisingly a great tasting meal, and of course very healthy. I’m glad I had the opportunity to try alkaline food, I’d expected it to be less than appetizing and expensive BUT it was neither. The alkaline food was delicious and it won’t break the bank.”
Stay tuned for our health and wellness episode taped at Metabella Pilates. Watch J-Love cooking with and interviewing Andrea Rozsas.

Chicken Paprikasserved on a pile of quinoa, with beetroot salad, goat cheese and pecans.
Chicken Paprikas: Ingredients
-2 lbs. of chicken (We used boneless-skinless organic chicken breast but the choice is yours), 1 onion (finely chopped), 1 teaspoon of paprika, Salt, Pepper, Flour, 1 tablespoon of chili (fresh or dry), Organic sour cream
Directions
First we have to sauté the onions a little bit then add the paprika and right after mixing them together we have to pour 1.5-2 cups of water into the pot. We season this liquid with salt and pepper (you can add jalapenos or chilis for spice) and add the chopped chicken to it and cover it. Cook it for about 20-25 minutes on low heat.
We make a mixture of 3 tablespoons of sour cream and 1 tablespoon of flour. Mix it together and slowly add it to the chicken. (Add a little bit of fluid—preferably from the chicken dish—to it before pouring it. Cook it together for about another 5 minutes and now you can take a deep break and smile. Done! : ) Quinoa: Ingredients
-1 cup Quinoa, 2 cups of water, Sautéed onions and sweet peas
Directions
We boil 1 cup of quinoa in 2 cups of water then we turn it down and cook it on low heat until the grain absorbs all the liquid. In another pan we saute the onions and in another one we cook the frozen peas for about 5 minutes. (Don’t overcook it)
At the end we mix them all together and season it with salt and olive oil. Ready:)
Beet salad with goat cheese and pecans: Ingredients
-1 lb. beets (boiled in skins and cooled), Half of medium onion (finely chopped), 1 bunch of green onion, Plenty of Olive oil, salt, Juice of 1 lemon, Goat cheese and pecans (the amount is up to you)
Directions
Peel beets and chop them into small cubes. Add all other ingredients. Mix them together and serve it at room temperature.
