Building a Foundation with Habitat for Humanity

This past Saturday, Reach Magazine TV joined Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity for an event in Chino Hills, CA to help raise a “Dime a Day” to build a home for the deserving Cessna family.  Over a year ago, plans were made to raise money to build the Cessna family a home in the city.

The fundraising began on October 5, 2009 as part of World Habitat Day and will conclude January 5, 2010 with the collecting of the dime jars at Johnny Rockets at The Shoppes in Chino Hills.

A beautiful and deserving home takes a lot of time and effort to build; the Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity knows because they’ve built 10 homes in Chino and 37 throughout the area.

Helping someone in need is something that should be done on a regular basis, it not only makes them feel special, but it will make yours and your families lives that much more rewarding. Like it says in the Bible “A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9

“The amazing staff at Habitat for Humanity truly have a heart to help others succeed and that is the exact message we live by on Reach Magazine TV,” says host J.O., “If anyone wants to make a change, contact your local Habitat for Humanity and see what you can do, there are plenty of families who need someone to care.”

Reach Magazine TV will be assisting in building the Cessna home in Chino Hills. “We’re so excited to be a part of this project,” says host Sherrie Marlene, “I can’t wait to see the look on the family’s faces when they see their completed home for the first time.”  J-Love, Sherrie Marlene and J.O. at the Habitat for Humanity Event

Stay Fresh and Pay Respect to the King of Pop

Michael Jackson T-Shirt

Michael Jackson, the“Most Successful Entertainer of All Time” according to Guinness World Records, and a generally good hearted man who devoted so much of his time and his wealth to charitable organizations, will always have a place in the hearts of Americans. And now, Redefine The Tee has created a brand new way to pay tribute to the King of Pop with their Limited Edition Michael Jackson Tribute Tee.

The tees are available for both men and women in a black regular tee and a black or red long dress tee.  All shirts feature Michael Jackson’s signature sequined white glove and written across the front are 18 of his No.1 hits.

Reach Magazine TV‘s own J-Love got the chance to interview Founder and Creative Fashion Director of Redefine the Tee, Monique Spence, at the MAGIC Marketplace trade show in Las Vegas, NV and found out these HOT new tees are not only a fashion statement, but are also for a good cause.  Fifteen percent of the proceeds of the new MJ Tribute Tee will go to the music program at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN where the Jackson brothers attended.

“You can never go wrong if you’re giving back,” said J-Love in his interview with Monique Spence

Buy, Donate and Rock with The Music Fashion Project!

Reach Magazine TV host/R ‘n’ B singer Sherrie Marlene and rock and roll band Bangkok Five share more than a love for music—they share a love for giving back to the community. Pictured here at the MAGIC Tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada, the rock band supports “The Music Fashion Project”—a charity based project working to raise money for music related charities.

How it works is supporters’ purchase their favorite band’s selected charity style from the Tea Stain Clothing line and a portion of the proceeds are donated directly to the band’s favorite music related charity.

Bangkok Five donates it proceeds to Rock ‘n’ Renew—an organization that helps musicians, students, and their communities live and act in sustainable ways. Rock ‘n’ Renew uses art and music to generate excitement about green solutions as they custom-design eco-blueprints for concert tours, schools, businesses, and events. The charity’s effort has brought the message of sustainability to thousands of people through rock show, festivals, and lectures.

Other bands involved in The Music Fashion Project include The Donnas, Papa Roach, One Less Reason, Love Hammers, and Framing Hanley.

To support The Music Fashion Project, visit the official Tea Stain Clothing website and stay tuned for the Reach Magazine TV rockin’ interview with Bangkok Five.
